Dear Friends, Supporters, and Champions of Fighting For Families,
After 17 incredible years of hosting our annual golf tournament, the Fighting For Families Board of Directors has made the heartfelt decision to take a much-needed pause in 2025. This was not an easy choice, but one made with great care, reflection, and respect for the legacy we’ve built together.
Over nearly two decades, your unwavering support has allowed us to provide critical assistance to countless veteran families in need. Before becoming Fighting For Families, many of you stood beside us as we raised funds and awareness for remarkable causes such as the Autism Society, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and the Wounded Warrior Project. Together, we’ve made an enduring impact—swing by swing, year after year.
We are incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished with your help, and we remain deeply grateful for the time, generosity, and passion each of you has contributed. From our dedicated sponsors to our loyal players and volunteers, you have been the heart of this event and the soul of our mission.
As we take this year to rest, reflect, and reimagine the future, we want you to know that this is not goodbye. While we have not yet made a final decision about returning in 2026, the door remains open. We will keep you informed as those conversations unfold, and your feedback and encouragement will continue to guide us.

Welcome to Fighting For Families, Inc.

Fighting for Families, Inc is a non-profit 501(c)(3) based out of Northridge California. Fighting for Families was founded and created by its President, Patrick Lufrano and became an official non-profit organization on June 24, 2015. Our sole purpose is to raise funds that will help support local veteran families in our community. Each year, we host a charity golf tournament in order to raise money that is in turn used to provide support and assistance to a local veteran family in need.

Fighting For Families, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation which was created to raise money and provide support for local veterans and their families. The funds raised are donated to a local veteran family that is in need of help. The purpose of this organization is to raise money to help veterans in need and have a positive impact on our local community. All of the officers and directors of Fighting For Families are volunteers and are not compensated for their time, which affords us the ability to donate as much of our profits as possible to help out local veteran heroes.
Fighting For Families was created in honor of 3 men who have passed away, all of whom were very special to our founder, Patrick. We honor the memory of Jim Sater, Brian Hoover and Matthew Lufrano each year with our annual Fighting For Families Charity Golf Tournament. Fighting for Families is in it's 6th year of hosting this annual charity golf tournament.
Our Board of Directors consists of men and women from different sectors of the business community, all of whom have a desire to give their time to help raise money for our local veterans in need.
